bajalo

Privacy policy

Updated October 26, 2026 (anonymous stats and diagnostics).

bajalo is a Chrome extension that finds the video in the current tab and downloads it when you ask. Everything happens in your browser.

What it looks at. Which videos the page is loading and basic player data (duration, size, whether it’s playing). It keeps this only while the tab is open and deletes it when you close the tab or Chrome.

What it doesn’t do. It doesn’t send which sites you visit, which videos you watch or what you download. No ads or accounts. It doesn’t store your history. It doesn’t read passwords, forms or page content.

Anonymous stats. To know whether it works, the extension counts events like “found a video”, “download finished” or “failed”, with the video type (file, streaming, X) and the version. No sites, links, titles or any identifier of you or your device; they are stored as daily totals. You can turn them off in the popup (“Anonymous usage stats”).

Connections. It only connects to the site hosting the video you chose to download and, on tweets, to X’s public tweet-embed service. It uses the cookies your browser already has for that site, just like watching the video.

Artificial intelligence. If your Chrome already has Gemini Nano, bajalo may ask it which of several videos is the main one. It runs on your device and only receives data like duration and quality. bajalo does not download the model.

Diagnostics. Only if you click “Send diagnostics”, a summary of what the extension found on that page (site, video types, no full links or tokens) is sent along with any comment you write.

On uninstall. Chrome opens a page asking why you removed it. Answering is optional.

Where it’s stored. Diagnostics, answers and stats are stored in the developer’s database (Neon) and diagnostics may be emailed to the developer. They are not sold or shared.

This site. holabajalo.vercel.app uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or personal data.

Limited use. The use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
